History comes alive in fifth grade!

In Mrs. Hughes's room, students have been learning about the European explorers. As a culminating project today, they imagined they were explorers and dressed the part to persuade King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain to sponsor their next voyage to the New World. Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Myers played the parts of the King and Queen, and asked the students tough questions about their explorers. Students needed to be able to inform and persuade the King and Queen and their audience of third and fourth graders!

Fabulous Fairy Tale Fun in Third Grade!

by Myriah S.
Mrs. Duty's class was having their Fairy Tale Friday on March 12. They learned about different fairy tales, while having fun! Then, the kids got to decide which fairy tale character they wanted to be. The kids went around to all the kindergarten classes to show off their wonderful character costumes. At the end of the line, they had wonderful guests, Cinderella and Prince Charming....two parents who dressed up as well.
