Lycoming Fitness Challenge!

submitted by Mrs. Fox
Our students at Schick Elementary were challenged.  How many minutes before and after school could they exercise during a six week time period?  Our students met the challenge and exercised 689,558 minutes.  Let's do the math:  there are sixty minutes in an hour, so 689,558 divided by 60 equals 11,493 hours.  That means our students exercised 11,493 hours!  The classes with the most minutes per student were Mr. Weaver, Mrs. Hillegas, and Mrs. Reitz's homerooms.  Chase McNulty, was the top individual with 149 hours.  Chase's younger sister, Summer McNulty, was second with 138 hours, and Jay Richards finished third with 129 hours.   Students at Schick Elementary not only rose to the challenge, they ran circles around it!
